Plaguarism charges are not unique to Patch (see NYTimes Jayson Blair. Is the NYTimes evil?). Working long hours certainly deserves scrutiny, but wouldn’t anyone signing on to a dot.com startup expect to work crazy hours? I know I would. Does that mean that every dot.com overworking their (paid) employees is by definition evil?
If you ever have the chance to question Arianna Huffington, I hope you ask her too if her outfit is “evil” because they don’t pay journalists and hold up an unpaid model as (scarily) becoming the norm.
