I had talked with my journalism students about the subtlety of language and how words – however ‘small’ – have wildly divergent meaning. I would almost argue that “will” is a bit of bias/editorializing from the media nobility. After all, it is a very American thing to protest (as one of my students put it). In some ways, it’s as if some media sources seem to be cheering for the protesters, and I’m not sure I feel about that re: objective reporting.
